Essential Gear

  • Headlamp or flashlight + spare batteries

  • Refillable water bottle

  • Quick-dry bath/swim towel

  • Lightweight blanket or sleeping bag

  • Personal toiletries

  • Personal medications & basic first aid supplies

Bug & Sun Protection

  • Insect repellent

  • Sunscreen

  • Reef-safe sunscreen if visiting Tobacco Caye Marine Station

Please Note

  • Dorm guests must bring their own towels; cabin guests are provided a bath towel.

  • A blanket is required year-round for visits to Las Cuevas Research Station.

  • “Reef Safe” and “Reef Friendly” are not the same.

  1. Camera – Waterproof is recommended for water activities; consider a dry bag for electronics.

  2. Binoculars – Great for wildlife and birdwatching.

  3. Notebook/Journal – For notes and memories.
